This book is good for engineers and architects who are looking for basic concept of seismic design. It is easy to understand. It's not a book for preparation of CA seismic test for civil engineer. It does not have many complicated formulas but it has many illustrations, do and don't's in designs. I recommend to people who want to learn about earthquake without having to know all the complicated formulas & technical jargons.
