We just moved from IL to AZ and have no idea what, when, how to plant. This book is the perfect primer! I'm taking it to the local nurseries with post-it bookmarks so as to not look like a goof! It has been like moving to a different planet and learning the local fern and fauna has been exciting yet intimidating. This book will help newcomer and longtime resident alike.
A lot of information. Wish I had read this before I started a new garden. Suggestions for companion plants are very good. Helpful information about care for each plant. I was disappointed to find that Arizona Ash is missing completely from the book.
Excellent book. Good information for choosing and caring for plants. Some of the photographs did not help with plant id. Overall very good.
Great book with a lot of concise information on the care of some of the very best plants to grow in a desert climate.
Another great book by Mary Irish. A must have for every SW gardener. . .
