This book was recommended by a wonderful cashier at the local gardening shop I buy from. I rarely buy books that are not used because of the price and my love for books. So the price was right. The book came in great condition to. It is written for NM gardners and the clerk always pulled this book out when I asked questions regarding soil or planting etc. It is well written and I would recommend it highly for NM gardners because of the monthly reminders of things to do and recommendations.
I'm returning this book because it is NOT organized month-by-month. Instead, each chapter is about a type of plant (perenials, annuals, etc). Within each chapter, you do see month-by-month. But I want to know what to plant in June -- with this book, I have to read the June pages in a dozen or more chapters and pull them together. The title is hugely misleading. (Look for Judith Phillips' New Mexico Gardener's Guide: Revised Edition.)
Very nice book with lots of information for the new New Mexico gardener
This book was a very nice purchase. I love the way the book was assembled and put together. Nice to have on the coffee table.
