I bought this book because I had the impression it would contain a wide range of jigs for big tools like table saws, stationary routers, etc. There were some jigs for those, but not as many as I expected. The jigs shown for all the other (smaller tools) are very good. The books gives an impression of being very old by showing pictures with tools my father used to have when I was young, but jigs used then are still useful.
I got my money's worth out of this book two minutes after it arrived. Just in flipping through it, earlier today, when it first arrived, I saw a small table saw jig or accessory that I felt was really clever, and that will immediately be useful. I'll be building that one, sometime later today, and putting it to use quickly thereafter. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading through this useful book in much more depth, as time goes on!
Even though this book is alittle older than some out there. It is still filled with a very nice amount of Jigs that can inspire you to make others like these. Using more updated materials will help you to upgrade the type of Jigs that are in this book. This is a great book to have in your collection.
The number of jigs provided in this book has proven to be quite useful in my studio. On the odd chance that a jig is not provided to meet your need, you will find the necessary tools in this book to design your own.
