Most of the information is advanced techniques, many of the pictures are unsupported by captions. I am disappointed with this book, I'll be looking for another book.
This book is a collection of turning related articles reprinted from the Fine Wood Working magazine. It is not cohesive, and is not an instruction book, so it is not really appropriate as an introductory book for wood turning. The information contained within the articles is however fantastic, were written by the leaders in the field, and written at a time when such work was groundbreaking.For a somewhat experienced turner, this book provides interesting information and great inspiration.

This is a very nice collection of articles from Fine Woodworking.You won't sit down and read the whole book at once. You'll read those articles that are of immediate interest, and you'll read the others as needed.
