Really helpful for the home handyman. Very easy to understand and the author writes very well. Even plumbing becomes interesting. For example, I've been struggling to open up a slow draining tub in my older home. I've tried everything I could think or. Learned from the book that Pro's usually just replace the drain trap - that there really is no way to clean it out once the gunk has hardened in it - and this just happens after many years of service. So that is my next project...

Good beginner DIY material; leaves you feeling comfortable making tackling some household plumbing repairs, and a good understanding of the home plumbing system. He had a good chapter on wells and pumps which I couldn't find in other plumbing books.

Wish it had pictures in it so people could know what the tools look like. Other than that it sounds helpful! My shower head has a lot of pressure water coming out and leaves the water on the floor. I do not want to deal with mildew or mold. I do not know how much it cost for a plumber to come to the house and fix it.

It is VERY basic... I consider myself not that skilled, but these are pretty much common sense tips. I did learn one or two new things, but over all ~ this would be good for someone with ZERO plumbing knowledge.

You can never have too many good DIY books in your library

I should have looked at the review a little closer. This didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I guess the "101" should have told me it was extremely basic.
