I love this book and use it as a reference all of the time. I live in IL. so naturally this book was one that I had to have. There's everything in this book, and I enjoy that it doesn't seem to be one that gets outdated over time. This is one that you will have for a lifetime.
This is a great book! It is well laid out and easy to read. It is has some great tips for beginners.
This is a great book if you plan on doing traditional "straight row" gardening, however, I bought All New Square Foot Gardening at the same time as this book, and SFG kind of makes traditional gardening obsolete. I still give it a good rating though because the tips and facts at the end of every vegetable are worthwhile on their own.
