This medium length book covers some core concepts without getting bogged down in meticulous details. It briefly and succinctly covers compilation, memory management, and the concepts of abstraction and inheritance without boring or talking down to the reader. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing an overview of java without committing to something frightfully dense. misleading, or confusing.
I can say that I'm pretty familiar with guru99 "productions" :good and various tutorials with complete explanations, and also many useful advices. This book it's part of his successful recipe: few and up to the point words, and many code examples. The entire book it's a challenge for a beginner in coding...If you're a rookie in Java, pick this book. You'll be satisfied, for sure !
