Beautiful photos and great discriptions. So many ideals for your landscaping. Lots of questions answered.

Sunset Midwestern Landscaping is a wonderful book for us here in the Midwest! With this book we learn about plants that are indigenous to our area, need our amount of rainfall and need the compounds found in our soils. The contents are laid out in Planning Your Garden, Landscaping with Structures, Landscaping With Plants, "Regional Problems and Solutions"!, Landscape Plans, and Materials and Techniques. The "Landscaping with Plants" section gives you suggestions for trees, shrubs, roses, vines, lawns, wildflowers, bulbs, annuals, fruits & vegetables and many more that are plants that will do well in our climate. The "Regional Problems and Solutions" section tells you about Managing Wetlands, Frost and Snow, Animal Pests, Plant Allergies, Waterwise Gardening and more that are unique to our area. This book has given me so much hope (whereas I was always accused of having a brown thumb before).

This book, plus others, was a great guide to me for selecting, planting, and maintaining my landscaping. There are great photographs of beautiful landscapes of the Midwest, and discussions of every area of interest regarding your landscape, including plants, lawn, trees, hardscape, maintenance, etc.
