This is an excellent course book for teaching/learning community level (heartsaver level), citizen/bystander CPR/AED and First Aid. Useful for people involved with youth groups, civic groups, those who may be acting like "first responders" etc. Very well written, easy to read, understand and learn from. Main points are reinforced with multiple scenarios and "bullet points". A great resource to keep at home as well for reference. Very clear, detailed information. I held on to both books even though I've been out of college for 2 years now just because I want to keep it fresh in my mind. I like it better than the Red Cross books!
Everyday, in my job, something is new. You never know what to expect,so in any situation I must be prepare to handle it in the best possible way. This book is good and the cd rom included in it makes it better.
This edition is already obsolete. Instead of starting with airway managment, breathing and chest compression. It's now vise-versa. The main goal of chest compression is to maintain blood flow.
I bought this book for a class I enrolled in "Basic Life Saving Skills." It is a good, concise book that shows the basic life support for those interested to learn basic life saving skills. It is simple enough to learn. They usually sell this upwards of $20 but I decided to look how much they sell it here at , which is way cheaper so I got it from here. The book looks like it is in new condition and still had a sale price tag. The shipping time is not too bad either.
Just what I needed for my class. Easy read and able to comprehend material easily. CD included was a bonus. Came in a reasonable amount of time for an excellent price. Cheaper than a BLS instructor could get it for.
Completed a class at Highline using this book and it was an excellent in case of an emergency. I purchased this book to keep in my first aid pack for my vehicle. I want to be prepared and this is a great first step. I'm thankful has everything I am looking for at great prices.
