I bought this to learn more about carbon trading as-in "Cap and Trade." I am an engineer and an experienced, motivated, environmental activist, but I am still I finding this book a hard go. Don't buy it unless you are really, really motivated!
I had to read this in grad school while studying for a masters in environmental economics. Though emissions trading schemes are such a huge part of combating climate change and improving air quality, there are several examples where it has failed (such as the European Union) versus succeeded (California). This book does a great job of giving an overview of the economic theory, but also digging into the nitty-gritty details that can end up making a difference in the real world. I wouldn't buy it for bedtime reading, but it was educational
It should be improve the equation and in general all mathematics expresions. The rest of the book is really good
