Since I'm a Master Procrastinator, not a Master Plumber, I haven't started the project yet. After reviewing the book, I am confident that when I finally talk myself into starting the task, the Ultimate Guide to Plumbing will make the job go as smoothly as possible. As a homeowner, not a plumber, the diagrams, and photos are essential. Diagrams, photos, and instructions are superb. This book also has an intro into the theory of how your home's water supply, drainage, and vent system are designed and the operation therof. Types of pipes and their intended/best usage are covered. Excellent "Smart Tips" are included as well as good tables for tools and materials needed. Excellent book for the novice homeowner.
Everything's explained in very simple language, a lot of big pictures. I never did plumbing before, but after reading this book everything is very clear for me. Now I can do any plumbing project by myself. Excellent book!
from what ive read so far it appears to be a good book. i have a plumbing class and we use a version of this book. has lots of great examples and well oriented instructions.
Another great book from Creative Homeowner Series. These books are laid out very well. Easy to understand, and a great refrence to anyone doing plumbing projects.
