As the Vice President for Safety for a large Aviation University I can truly say that Dr. Rodrigues and J.D. Cusick really did a fantastic job with this book. If you think of any aspect of aviation safety they have captured the concept and delivered an excellent and unbiased presentation on how to use the model. They really did their research in presenting new concepts from Safety Management Systems (SMS) to Human Factors models. I think this book has something for everyone, I really liked chapter Thirteen, "Aviation Safety Management Systems". They did a great job in presenting the major components of SMS in an intelligent and concise manner. This book is truly a vital element to any safety library.

How can you publish an academic textbook without page numbers? How do you expect me to perform in-text citations of "Kindle locations?"Kindle locations are not legal in accredited academic institutions.Where does it say in the pre-purchase description of this product that this eBook does not use page numbers.Hey Kindle (), you need to figure this out. Selling academic textbooks that cannot be cited is a horrible way to make money off customers.ZERO STARS!

The authors of this book share with you an immense amount of easily understandable detail about aviation safety - where, why, when, there is not a question left unanswered. Full of information, to the point, easy to understand, fun to read, there is no reason not to buy this if you're interested in aviation safety.

The book is logical in it's layout and how it introduces the various regulatory bodies of the US and International aviation regulatory agencies. It covers a lot of material from crash investigations to regulatory agencies. The content is introductory in nature - there is only so much you can cover in a textbook. Easy to read and understand.

This book contains a huge amount of important data about safety. It has a lot of details about the aviation industry and recent data in the last aviation accidents. This edition has more information than the fourth edition, such as information on safety before the 70's and the latest aviation changes and regulations in order to improve safety.

This book has helped with the understanding of how the government and other agencies have reduced the amount of Aviation related accidents. Although, text can be a bit dry at times.

For anyone desiring to enter the field of aviation safety, I can't think of a better reference and starting point.

The book is an excellent reference to Aviation Safety and provides a good foundation of how the system works.
