This was not what I expected. I am and engineer and thought this would give me some good techniques in surveying between boundaries on my ranch. It was focused toward a survey student with access to expensive equipment. I have since figured out that with a good laser pointer, a good engineers compass and GPS I can get the job done.

This read like an outline of someone's class notes. Lacked definitions of what a Total Station is. Did not mention data collection devices connected to Total stations. Did not explain use of GPS established datum.

this is not for beginners! even with understanding of algebra, geometry & tirg. hard to follow!
