the book is good and explains things well - its just that I realized that we are toilet training our cats for our OWN convenience not theirs and it traumatizes them...so I stopped, I'd rather live with kitty litter and a happy cat
Truly! This book tells you nothing! No instructions on how to toilet train - in fact it just tells you to buy a toilet training kit as one of the options. There's better information in the reviews for one of the toilet training kits (litter kwitter) on than what's in this book. Seriously, don't waste your money.
I actually bought this book to help my sister out. She has two cats that she loves a lot, but they can really make her small house smell. We were joking around about training them to use the toilet. That way everything will stay cleaner and fresher. Not to mention she gets to save money on cat litter. When I saw the book I had to read it and see if it can be done.The book is very easy to understand. The instructions lay out everything step by step making it easy to follow. The author even goes so far to include problems you might have and how to fix them. The only bad thing is that this training requires you to work really hard during that 30 day period. The author is honest about that, but the rewards when my sister gets her cats trained will be well worth it. No more stinky litter.
I found myself thinking, 'I already knew that' way too many times throughout the book. Chances are, if you're trying to toilet train your cat, you may have googled it first or read a paragraph or two about how its done. Turning such a small amount of information into a short story of a book is a huge stretch. I haven't found one piece of information in this book that is new or different than the little reading I've already done on the subject. Yawn. I was really looking for some substance, what a missed opportunity.
