This is a great book to study for the field in Industrial Technology, Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics. The chapters are written very well with many goodies included. The book covers the introduction of digital systems, numbers and coding in binary, logic gates, combinational logic, timers, shift registers, counters, programming logic, memory/storage, data transmission, signal conversion, data processing and controls, buses and networks. The chapters also have section checkups, systems notes, block diagrams, quizzes, summaries, key terms and mostly about 80 percent of the answers to the questions. This is a good buy. This book is usefully long after the course is completed. I continue to go through the book working problems and refreshing myself on the engineering principles.

It's a visual book but it doesn't do the best job of actually explaining the math behind everything. I always had to supplement what I was reading with some info online. It could just be me though so I'm not going to give it a terrible rating, just a mediocre rating.

The reason I gave it four stars is due to the errors in the book. There are quite a few which distracts me from the learning because some of the examples are wrong. Other than the errors, it is a fantastic book to learn from. It is very straight forward and is very helpful. Of course it was a required text for me but even at that it is a very well written book and one I plan on keeping. The examples are very good and numerous. Which is helpful for anyone who is a visual learner.

This item was exactly as described and an excellent deal. It showed up earlier than the date given and I am very satisfied with the book....
