- There are only 150 recipes, possibly because so much space is dedicated to the vibrant pictures. Definitely a book you can display and show off!- Oladi are referred to as blini and blini are referred to as crepes. I was very confused by this, since it's written by a Russian and a Pole, so you'd think they'd know what to call their own food.- They refer to Georgia as a province of Russia. There is no excuse for this, especially since it was published in 2011.- A lot of space is dedicated to explaining Russian culture, geography, agriculture, and religious traditions. As someone who studied Russian and Eastern Europe for 9 years, I don't find this necessary, but others might find it fascinating!All in all, I feel pretty neutral about this book. If not for the two mistakes I mentioned, I would probably give it a much higher rating, but they were such basic mistakes that I couldn't believe it. It kind of ruined the book for me. Aside from that, which I admit is nitpicky, I'd just prefer more recipes.
