As a minimalist I try to live with the least amount of physical possessions as I possibly can. This guide was great because it outlined everything I needed to know about getting myself set up with a shipping container house. It was clear and concise and had great design tips and techniques making this alternative housing a plausible alternative for me. I can see myself comfortably living in one. I'm really impressed with the affordability of this option and I hope to have one of my own here in the not so distant future. This is an exceptional guide for anyone who is curious about learning more about these homes. Highly recommended
"ultimate?" What a joke. Since when is 30 pages a book? I have wasted my money on about 10 of these. not a single original idea in any of them. No brilliant ideas No illustrations. No brilliant architectural or engineering insights. What a disappointment. You are better off doing your research online for free.
I picked up this book with the hope of gaining some clarity about building a container home. I live in a tropical climate so I had many questions about structure and integrity which were all answered. This book is short but I think that makes it better. This is a concise summary that will help you figure out exactly what steps you need to take on your journey.
This is quite a disappointment. I bought this book because I like to gather some new info that I can use in order to start my shipping container home endeavor. But what I read here are also the same things that I got from other book of the same topic. Considering its price, this is not a worthy purchase. I wish there are more and that research has been done well.
I have been interested in smaller homes for a while now and did not even know this was a possibility until reading this book. The book really shows how easy it would be to create a small and affordable home in a shipping container. It does make sense when you consider that these containers are very sturdy and can be bigger than some mobile homes. I was very surprised however at how easy it would be to convert one into a very comfortable home. Although I do not know if this is something I will go ahead with it is definitely interesting and if I do decide to I have all the information I need to get started in this book. If you are looking into more affordable living then this book is for you and will provide you with a viable option to consider.
