I love this book! As a first-time gardener in the Denver suburbs, I was overwhelmed by the idea of landscaping our first house. Patio plants were the extend of my knowledge, but I knew I'd want to plant perennials in a logical way that use as little water as possible. I also want my landscape to look beautiful.This book is packed with great advice, logical sequences for planning and design and maintenance, and a friendly, conversational you-can-do-this tone that make it accessible and useful. It also has tons of gorgeous photos to give me plenty of ideas as my yard (and gardening skills) mature.I'm so grateful for this book!
Beautiful, bought it for my son and daughter-in-law who moved to CO and tried to grow a lawn, this book helped them see a different way.

Did not like that there are so many before and after pictures that are photo shopped. For this price I expect "real" pictures. Disappointed to say the least!
