The publication date is a bit old and photos seem to use and older technology. The main value of the book is its key like format and its ability to get one to think about plant families. It is handy and lite to use in the field. I recommend that once purchased you take the book to a copy shop and get a spiral binder.
I have an earlier edition and when I saw a different cover, I thought it would be revised. The inside pages were identical, page by page, with the older book. I like the book, but am very disappointed that they would change the cover and not update the contents.
I buy to give to people just learning about flora; good book at a good price to give to nature orientated people.
Wilflowers and Weeds field guide book is great! It has the most true photographs of any wildflower book I have ever read. Don't leave home without it!!!
