The upgrade is very detailed and shows a wide dynamic categories it is a great addition to any collection and proves as an invaluable tool to any numismatist. It is important for every person reads this or uses this tool and make it an invaluable resource for their collection . I personally look forward to the second edition reevaluation and contributions to my collection
Varieties are a great entry-point to get collectors interested in the hobby. Where else can you look through pocket change and find coins that are worth real money?The Cherrypickers' Gude to Rare Die Varieties was a book that I started collecting with. It's been exciting to see it progress from a slim one volume to the massive multi-volume set that it is today, with such improved pictures and valuing information. The expansion of third-party grading through PCGS, NGC and ANACS has helped collectors understand the rarity of these and the best thing about the error and variety field is that new ones are made every day!If you're looking to get a young person involved in collecting, this is a good book to give as a gift!
Beautiful book, glad to finally see it updated.
A true must-have for any variety collector. Highlights the ones that people (unless they're set copletionists) will actually buy. May have to cross-reference with Wexler's page for die marks to confirm if it not obvious, but either way, this is a very well written, and informative book.
If you are interested in obtaining useful knowledge, this book is a must have. In the interest of minimizing competition that's all I can say.
Eye opening and detailed photos and descriptions make this a valuable guide.
