Although I live in a neighboring state, not Kansas itself, this book has been very useful for identifying weeds in my sustainably landscaped yard. We're letting parts of the yard go natural, and we're picking and choosing which weeds are allowed to grow based on some of the information in this book (height, toxicity, whether the plant is invasive, etc.). There are no photographs--which helps keep the price of the book low--but there is a good line drawing for each plant. This book has been a reliable resource for identifying a variety of plants and has been a worthwhile investment.
Although this book lacks the full color photos that some other books provide, the line drawings are accurate and detailed enough to show those little things you really need to know when identifying plants. Provides lots of information in a well organized format. I will use this great little book in conjunction with some others that provide photos.
It would be a lot better if the book had photographs of the weeds instead of drawings.
The book was ok but would have been more helpful with color pics of the weeds. But I didn't pay much so it's all good
