My husband is setting up an aquaponic system. Awesome information. Perfect for beginners and beyond. He had a lot of questions about supplies, temps, sources, and more. He considers this ebook to be his best resource. It encourages you to use what is at hand or what to use that isn't necessarily a "store-bought" system. Already has strawberries, celery, and collards growing. Yea!
Wish it had been longer and gave more ideas. But I think this might be a good way for people to get fresh herbs and veggies in places where you can't garden. I would have enjoyed more information on being able to grow fish I could eat. Good free book to see if this aquaponic gardening is something you would want to try.
I've been interested in this subject for some time. This book was easy to read and follow. Probably not much substance for someone who knows more about the subject, but perfect for a beginner. Baby steps. :-)
This booklet has some basic information.....most of which seems to be correct. However, there are other on-line sources for setting up a synergystic fish farm/ vegetable garden. The premise is interesting but the amount of equipment and expense needed to put this into operation would be staggering.
I became interested in this subject due to my time as a missionary in undeveloped countries causing me to notice the general state of nutrition and subsistence farming and lack of hope of breaking the cycle. This may well be an answer to the problem.
Took a 200 page book and condensed it to the nuts and bolts. Great overview and quick reference guide. Would recommend reading if you are interested in aquaponics and are an "A Type" that just wants the meat of it.
I don't get the front cover picture - that is a salt water fish ! if you know what I mean...
I would have preferred seeing illustration, especially for a "newbie". I had a visual, but then it was blown away by some of the variables thrown into the mix!
