I've been looking around for a good book on how to use rubber stamps for beginners for quite some time.When I first saw this book,I told myself,'This is it!'Not only the designs are pretty,the instructions are simple to follow and they even show how-to by having pictures showing step by step.Not just on papers/cards,the book also mentioned how to stamp on other materials like glass and wood.There's even a section on how to make your own stamp! Get this book.You will not regret it!
I am an advanced stamper and while this book is great for those just starting out in the stamping world, you should get an earlier book of Francoise Read called, "The Rubber Stamping Bible"However, I think a good addition to this book, especially for beginners or those who are not accustomed to doing mathematical conversions would be a measurement converter page because this book's measurement are all in Metric..
I've been stamping for a few years, and I keep going back to this book and Read's other book, Rubber Stampers Bible, for inspiration. My other craft books are not as helpful and informative. It even lists suppliers from UK, USA, and Canada (including address, phone, and website). All pages are in color with numbered & illustrated steps. Includes 7 design templates in the back with corresponding project names and page numbers.
Very informative. Good ideas. It also gives you new ideas to incorporate in your stamping. I would recommend to to all stampers.
In addition to a 100 sample cards, it explains the differences in types of inks, types of stamps and explains techniques which is helpful to the novice stamper. I got it for a great price so it was definitely worth the money.
Kept checking out at the library so got myself a copy. I have stamped for years but had a number of years off after being injured. I still feel I am relearning and this is a great book to remind myself or learn a new trick or two.
