These are perfect for my kids (5 and 6 1/2). They come in a small booklet, one stencil to each page and each stencil is easily torn out of the book by a perforation.Great, easy to trace stencils, sturdy and laminated pages so using markers and crayons will not destroy them.
I find the little dover books just great for little ones. My grand-daughter loves to make decorations with stencils. The designs are very good and a good size for little fingers. We have really enjoyed the Christmas and other stencil books by Dover.
This is a nice assortment of 3-4" Christmas stencils. We used them to make T-shirts, and used each a couple of times. They held up to a seven year old blobbing on paint, and two adults also using them. I wiped off the paint each time one was used, and it was good to go for another round. I was able to keep the entire set for future use, so I'm very pleased for an item that cost just over a buck.
I am onto my second book of these stencils as the first fell apart after sponge painting on brown paper to make our own Christmas wrap last year. The effect was fantastic and my 5 year old was able to have great success. We sponge printed and then added some detail with glitter pens. The paper did get soggy and fell apart after 3-4 quite big sessions of being pretty much drowned in paint so I wouldn't call this a critism given the price. Everyone had a "wow" response when receiving their gift wrapped in hand painted paper with raffia. The only problem we had was that the picture went quite close to the edge so there was some overspill of paint. We were able to get multiple colours on the figure though. To give you an idea of the size, the book is A5 (2 would fit side by side on A4) and there is one picture per page. We pulled the book apart and the pages were a decent thickness of cardboard. We also gave these as gifts to children and they were a very big hit. You would obviously get a lot more use if just using a pencil to create pictures for colouring
Very flemsy, very small. Came torn. A shameful waste of trees cut down to produce these. Close to Christmas, we tried to use them nonetheless with fake snow in the can. We ended-up with a big mess to clean. Save yourself some time and aggravation, invest a few more dollars in a lot better quality stencils ( thick paper or plastic).
I am looking forward to using these next Christmas. I use them to decorate my Christmas packages, and the family really loved the way they look
I am always looking for little inexpensive projects for my granddaughters to do when they visit. The four year old loves stenciling and then coloring them in so this was a perfect Christmas project for her. A bargain for sure. I'll always keep buying these little books for all the grandkids to use.
I am a school teacher. I used these stencils with my kids to make Christmas cards on construction paper with crayons and colored pencils. They worked great. The kids really enjoyed using them. They made wonderful cards! I will use them again next year.I also ordered more stencils with other themes for future crafts with my classes.
