This is my go-to book for my pets’ all-round care. Whether it’s an injury or fleas and ticks in the fur, my dog should now get the right treatment. Preparation of the essential medicinal oils are presented in detail, along with safety tips. What I found remarkable is the prohibitory note on toxic oils in bold alphabets and striking color. This is a vital piece of information that should catch the reader’s attention promptly. I now have the complete fur, skin, paws and injury care guide for my pet, and yes, it’s a genuine relief. The vet I refer to has also reviewed and recommended the book. Thanks a ton to the author, this is just superb!
We've always had dogs, and it's just been a few months since we had to put our golden retriever down. However, when I saw this book for free a few weeks ago, I snapped it up thinking it might help my brother with his dog problems. He has a chocolate lab that is allergic to everything. I know his wife uses essential oils for them personally but I was curious if anything could be done for their Ellie. Sadly, there was nothing pertaining specifically to allergies but there was a plethora of information that would certainly help a pet owner.I've now read a few of Mr. Wake's books and have enjoyed them all. There's not a lot of fluff, so I can get through one in short order and come away with some tangible knowledge - with a busy schedule that's important to me. I would recommend this to pet owners anywhere - take special note of the warnings, as some oils are very harmful to dogs and cats.
This book gives a lot of recipes using essential oils for various problems with dogs. Unfortunately, it did not give one for the specific problem I was looking for. It does caution you on using tea tree oil which is good. Many other books I have read do not and from what I understand this essential oil can be dangerous. It, also, covers cats although I will not need this section others may.
It's concise, clear and practical information. I already have almost all the essential oils I need on hand so I can put this to use right away. Thank you for such a valuable guide at a great price! =)
finally answers for oils & cats that are simple to understand
This is a great book with a lot of helpful info & recipes for dogs. The cat section wasn't as extensive as the dog section but it still had some great recipes & a list of what essential oils that can & can't be used on cats. So I'm glad I read this book & I'd recommend it to anyone interested in using essential oils on dogs & cats.
What a great book! I would have never thought of essential oils for my pets, but yes, why not!Nathaniel is very educated on this subject and very clear of what you can and cannot use on what types of animals, especially cats.This book is a must read if you are considering giving your pets all the benefits that essential oils have to offer.
It was short, which could be a good thing or bad thing. I wish it had gone into a little more depth and had more recipes. I still would like to check out more of his books. I am however using some of his recipes.
