This book was a very informative book for selecting, and using, materials in the water-inclusive landscape. With my training as a landscape architect, I was able to follow the concepts being put forth; but when my wife was looking through it for a new project she had in mind, she had a very difficult time understanding it.That being said, I would highly recommend this book for anyone thinking of using water in their landscape.
Fine book if you have acres of property and tons of money and are looking to build a pond or waterfall big enough for a boat, or if you like pretty pictures of such things. But useless to an urban homeowner looking for practical and actionable advice on setting up a backyard water feature.
