I found very little information that was helpful in this Dummies edition of QuickBooks 2012. While I can appreciate good humor this one went overboard. I had to really search for any info on charts of accounts or other pertinent topics that made any sense. The book appears to be a good advertisement for the product and not much more.Too much information about the author and not enough content to warrant making this a part of my learning curve for QuickBooks
Bought this book because of work. We started using Quickbooks 2 months ago and I was looking for a guide that would be also helpful with accounting and easy to read/explain. This book has been more than that. I never thought managing a business's accounting was so complex but now I'm able to create reports with quickbooks. (:
Our Elks lodge is bringing our accounting system into the Lodge to save the cost of an accountant. We are reviewing Quick Books and Quicken to decide which would be easiest for novices to catch on to. I believe we are going to go with the Quicken.
This book did NOT give me any insights in the accounting principles or little of use with Quickbooks. Everything from the buyer was fine, but the book was a disappointment in almost every way
I needed to learn QB quickly. i really needed was a cheat sheet. This hasn't given me an actual answer yet. Maybe now that I've been using QB for about a year it will make more sense?
Has everything you need to work the program with easy to follow instructions. Love for Dummies books! I have lots of them.
