Planning a wedding should be one of the most thrilling things a woman does with her life. Although this book was factual, helpful and gave lots of suggestions... it tended to stay very middle of the road. It didn't push for any decisiveness... which is what a bride needs at this time. Almost like, "You could have black, but then you could have white, or you could have red". There was no, "You could have black but it is better/cheaper/wilder to have red. Don't have white because that is boring/staid/expensive".I wanted the author to show a bit of backbone and stand up for what they would have chosen, and give reasons why. A bride is confused and overwhelmed at this time and almost needs someone to tell her what to do.That being said, the book gives oodles of great ideas and is a brilliant place for a potential bride to start her research. Even if you believe you have thought of everything, this book points out that you will have missed something... whether large or small. This book fills in the gaps, and covers all the bases.
